Creating A Zen Filled Home

I have always been a person who seeks my divine guidance for clarity of inspiration as many times I have thoughts of something that I think of as it leads me right into a creative mind set. I often say if I can think it and envision it I will start to believe it & then I can create a living model on paper.

Often times I find myself circulating in a season where I use color schemes to define my feelings. It’s all through the color palettes that lead me into my creative ideas. As I am a person who Loves the outdoors & enjoys nature. I often lean towards pastels & earthy tones. Explaining these concepts of my inspirations brings me into my Motivation for Interior Design. The look of this cottage feel home brings me into a feeling of other parts of the world like Cape Cod & Myrtle Beach. I wanted to create a zen full place that can allow me to dream of places I have never been. So I took my destination into the bedrooms as I used a vintage color in the master bedroom to bring about a serene feel for a calm & feminine space & just added a waterfall shower as I could enjoy days at the spa. I completed the look with nature as I did a his and hers using 2 unique hand made river stones vessel sinks; Oh my how I fell in love with the master. Bringing about my character into a space where I can rejoice in the aspirations I envisioned.

Another bedroom I created a color scheme for a zen ful & breathtaking view. Using bamboo furniture to give you a feel of where you hear wind-chimes playing  your favorite tune. Listening to the waves as you close your eyes for a day of meditation. Nothing fell short in this space as I look above and see a beautiful leafy ceiling fan to finish off the look. The Hall restroom is created with a spa feel as I used another copper shower to give you that relaxing feeling. The limestone look tiles gave me that look I longed for as it allows you wanting more time at the spa. The waterfall design in the showers allows that nature feel.  The third bedroom was created for a space of Serenity & Balance & Stillness. Colors on bunk beds created that feel for taking a load off as you rejuvenate your inner self.

As a person who enjoys celebrating life with family & friends I brought the complete house structure towards the front of the street to utilize the space for gatherings & entertainment. I Love , love the copper country sink I chose as it added my personality with the beauty of its detail design. It makes a statement that allows conversation. The wide design built of the cabinets were all purposeful no wasted space, gave it a all natural rustic look. The three tier kitchen island was a place I knew I would need to make as efficient as possible knowing it would be a space for entertainment. I designed a oversized base island to be the domain for a stove top. As I chose a copper exhaust to install overhead just gave it that added gorgeous appeal. I added to island as I could use for tall bar seating/ conversation. The third add on to main domain was designed to be used as a nook where mornings would be spent with a cup of coffee & bagels for breakfast. Creating the space for this area was competed with a bohemian chandelier I would be using to admire everyday as I sat in wonder and gave daily grace. This was just a favorite piece I bought  way before this house was ever made. I knew I was going to hang that beauty right where I can see it daily. The colorful chandelier allowed the countertops to sparkle with all its quartz shimmering with beauty.

As you Mingle in the living room you cant help to notice the metallic turquoise I added as color in the 1/2 bath restroom walls with the hint of that ocean look quartz countertop I added a unique handmade seashell made of natural marble/stone vessel. All restrooms were completed with a copper fossil vessels. The open living room space looks out into the bay where the sun sets. Such a space of openness as the many bay windows surrounding all around the Beach walls allows the natural lighting to come in. The decor above every window has a natural gem stones that portrays its own source of energy to Restore, Revive, Release negative energy. I envisioned a 3 tier deck that became a 4 tier entrainment. Every level has its coordinates for clarity.

I couldn’t be more appreciative for such a place that I created & designed. The inspiration for the structure to this house started with a natural stone and pillars that just added its own unique look. I used a stone on & around the lower bottom house to give it a cottage look feel as I envisioned Nature & a Woodlands look. Even as I was on the bayside of an island I knew that I could create a natural stone look & mixed with burlap wood & make into a Cape Cod & MYRTLE BEACH Resort.
